Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

Modified on Wed, 8 Mar, 2023 at 3:39 PM

This portion of the background check will provide the status of the candidate's driver's license along with any violations, accidents, infractions, suspensions, or endorsements.

A state-issued driver's license is required for us to obtain a Motor Vehicle Record.

The MVR can be run first

If the Motor Vehicle Record is your priority, and if an unacceptable MVR is enough to disqualify a candidate without considering additional checks, we can tailor the package so that it is run first. When an MVR is run and meets your requirements, we can arrange for additional background checks to begin processing. In the event that the MVR does not meet your requirements, we can initiate Pre Adverse Action and prevent additional checks from processing.

If you would like to change, create or explore package options, please submit a ticket via our support center.

Motor Vehicle Records from Pennsylvania

The state of Pennsylvania has restrictions in place for accessing Motor Vehicle Records. In order to successfully obtain an MVR from Pennsylvania, applicants must sign an additional release form that Turn will provide to PennDOT (Pennsylvania Department of Transportation) on their behalf.

Once we have proper authorization, we can access the applicant's Motor Vehicle Records and include them in their background check.
