Why do you need my Social Security Number?

Modified on Thu, 25 Aug, 2022 at 3:37 PM

Conducting a SSN Trace is typically the first step in a background check. Using your SSN we can obtain your address history and any other names you may have used based on credit and financial history. The results of the SSN Trace may be used to run county and federal criminal checks if they are requested by the company who ordered your background check.

Your Social Security number is masked and encrypted in our systems while it is used to conduct your background check.
